Jermaine Dupri to Drop “So So Def 25” Compilation

Jermaine Dupri is getting ready to release So So Def 25 — a 25th anniversary compilation of his label So So Def’s biggest hits.

According to a press release, the project is set to drop this summer.

The project will be released through Legacy Recordings’ Certified Classics imprints and will feature hits, remixes and deep cuts from So So Def’s roster over the past 25 years. While the compilation will be released in digital form, Legacy Recordings will also issue 12″ vinyl presses of select So So Def tracks, in addition to more content.

Dupri launched So So Def in 1993 after the success Kris Kross’s hit single “Jump,” which he wrote and produced. The label went on to release music from the likes of Da Brat, Xscape, Bow Wow and Jagged Edge.

“I been dreaming of getting to this point since my very first release,” Dupri said in a press release.
