Dallas native Bobby Sessions has signed with Def Jam Records, just three years after making his debut on the rap scene.
The rapper took to Twitter last week, announcing the signing with a photo of himself next to the iconic Def Jam logo. He also briefly detailed how he quit his job with only $50 in his bank account to pursue a career in music, while also thanking label CEO Paul Rosenberg for the opportunity.
Rosenberg publicly welcomed the rapper to the label as well, stating that there are “so many good things to come” from the Dallas rapper.
Sessions discussed some details of the deal in an interview with SayCheeseTV, emphasizing the importance of continuing his rap career in his hometown. “Even though we’re still with Def Jam, our goals is to still to build a legendary legacy in Dallas,” he said. “So, the fact that we can join forces with them is everything.”
